Chesterton 1724 is a unique PTFE valve packing material specially treated with protective lubricants that would not harden and do not deteriorate in a wide range of chemical applications. Valve testing has shown that high pressure is not capable of squeezing out the lubricants from this inter-braid valve packing material. Chesterton 324 offers the same construction in a square-braid formation.
Chesterton 1724 is guaranteed for the life of the valve. If it does not outlast the valve it is installed in, Chesterton will replace it for FREE *.
