Viton Rubber
Vitton Rubber Sheet (roll) Vitton Fluorocarbon (FKM) or fluoroelastomer rubber was originally developed in 1957 by DuPont in response to high temperature applications that can also withstand chemical attacks. AP Service style 485 is produced using 100% Fluorocarbon FKM Viton virgins.
Material that provides good sealing quality in applications that require resistance to temperature, weathering, and gas permeability. This unique product stands for ozone, fuels, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, lubricants, organic solvents, certain acids, and many corrosive industrial applications.
Examples of conditions where the use of rubber Fluorocarbons should be avoided are: organic acidic ketones, low molecular weight, superheated steam, and glycol based fluids.
